WANT THE THRILL OF FINDING A PEARL IN AN OYSTER SHELL?
Pearls of Australia, the only pearl farm on the entire east coast of Australia, and located here on the Central Coast, grow the world-famous Akoya pearls in the pristine waters of their Broken Bay Pearl farm. Ten lucky COAST couples will be given a behind-the-scenes Shellar Door experience and boat tour of the pearl farm to see how the tiny oyster spats are carefully nurtured to grow into mature pearl shells. Watch as shells are prised open to reveal a lustrous pearl. Learn the seven qualities that make up the value of a pearl.
The one-hour tour includes a boat tour out to the pearl farm on the scenic lower Hawkesbury River and will touch on the main points of how Pearls of Australia grow the pearls. Back on land at the Shellar Door, the pearl farm team will guide you through an enthralling experience on the history of pearling in Australia and the qualities that make up the value of a pearl. You can also see the jewellery made from locally grown pearls.
Just tell us why you’d like to be given a private behind-the-scenes tour of the Broken Bay Pearl farm located on the Hawkesbury River at Mooney Mooney on the Central Coast.
The winning entry will be drawn by COAST ONLINE on July 24, 2020 and the winner notified by email.
