Unbeknown to many people, the Central Coast houses
an extensive and valuable Indigenous art collection
located in the Central Coast Clinical School and Research
Institute adjacent to Gosford Hospital. It was established
in collaboration with the Central Coast Local Health
District and the University of Newcastle. Gillean Shaw, the University’s Art Curator, had the privilege of sourcing and curating the collection.
